AIFA Awards a Grant to AEI to Expand the Seroond Catalyst Program

Afeyan Initiatives for Armenia (AIFA) has awarded a grant to the Armenia Education Initiative (AEI) to support the expansion of the AEI’s Seroond Catalyst Program, a flagship initiative designed to improve teaching and learning outcomes across Armenia.
The official signing ceremony marking the launch of the partnership took place at AEI’s headquarters.
The grant will enable Teach For Armenia to scale Seroond to an additional 10 public schools across 7 regions of Armenia that have been identified by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports (MoESCS) as priorities for development.
Expanding Impact Across Armenia
As of September 2025, Seroond has reached more than 1,600 students, 190 teachers, 16 school leaders, and over 3,000 parents across a network of schools and kindergartens spanning five regions of Armenia.
With support from AIFA, AEI will expand the program to additional schools, bringing proven school-improvement practices to communities where educational support is needed most. The expansion will contribute to strengthening teaching quality, student engagement, and leadership capacity within Armenia’s public education system.
Investing in Armenia’s Educational Future
The AIFA grant reflects a shared commitment to supporting innovative, scalable solutions that strengthen Armenia’s educational institutions and create lasting opportunities for future generations.
“Education is one of the most important investments a country can make in its future. Through our support of AEI and the Seroond program, we are helping expand access to high-quality learning environments and strengthen the capacity of schools and communities across Armenia,” said Irina Seylanyan, CEO of Afeyan Initiatives for Armenia (AIFA).
“We are grateful to AIFA for its partnership and belief in the transformative power of education. This support will enable us to expand Seroond’s impact to more schools and communities, helping educators, students, and families work together to create lasting change and stronger outcomes for children throughout Armenia,” said Larisa Hovannisian, the Founder and CEO of Armenia Education Initiative.
AIFA and AEI will continue to collaborate on initiatives that strengthen educational opportunity, build local leadership, and contribute to Armenia’s long-term development.
